Senior

Abigail {senior}

Abigail is my first senior of 2017 and she’s my senior representative for AC Jones High School in Beeville.  The youngest of three kids and the only girl, Abigail grew up taking care of business.  That quality carried her on to becoming the Valedictorian of her senior class of _____ students, she is president of the National Honor Society, has played basketball and softball throughout her high school career and, most importantly, she loves Jesus with all her heart, soul and mind.  Her journey continues next year at Baylor University (on scholarship!) where she will study to become a teacher so she can follow in the footsteps of her wonderful mama.

Abigail and her mom took me to this cool, abandoned building in town to start our session.  I asked Abigail to stand right there for a second and just relax so I could check my light and adjust my settings.  She started chatting and laughing with her mama and I took my first test shot, literally the first image on my camera that day.  I don’t think I’ve ever had the first click of a session result in such a great image.  First of all, my settings were already locked in (score), and second of all, Abigail looks to happy.  I just love this image for all it’s candid perfection.  Onward!

Throughout Abigail’s session , we wandered to a few old buildings around town, stopped in my very own backyard for a few and then we hit the town’s welcome sign and tree grove to end the evening.

As the sun sets on Abigail’s time in Beeville, we pray for God’s blessings upon her as she continues her journey as a Baylor Bear! Also, Baylor is a great school I’m sure but the Silos are a ten minute walk from campus so that’s why my daughter will be going there too. In eight years.

Jesse & Kellie {wedding}

Jesse and Kellie are like family.  Probably because they are literally my family.  Jesse is my husband’s cousin and both my husband and my oldest son were groomsmen in the wedding.  I, obviously, was the photographer and my daughter assisted me throughout the day. A true family affair!

The wedding was held at a brand new venue north Houston, Texas called Magnolia Meadows.  It’s a gorgeous rustic barn inspired building set back on a greenbelt with ponds and fountains.  It was a dream to photograph at this place!
